Vuoristorata is operated by the brakemasters, who in addition to braking the train are also responsible for customer safety and other demanding tasks at Vuoristorata. After completing two weeks of training, the new brakemaster receives a number that indicates their place in the brakemaster lineup. The number decreases over the years as new brakemasters are trained and older ones retire; the oldest working brakemaster has the smallest number, and the newest has the biggest number.

#1 Topi
Topi is a charming, friendly and honest gentleman – that's exactly what a brakeman should be. During his long career, Topi achieved the absolute number one position in the brakemen's hierarchy and will always be a role model for brakemen. Every curve of Vuoristorata forever remembers the cycles driven by the king of Linnanmäki.
Topi worked as a brakeman for 37 seasons during 1975–2011 and his number 1 has been retired to honor Topi's long career as a brakeman.
#2 Taavi
Working as an entrepreneur when not braking, Taavi is currently the oldest working brakemaster and he enjoys the source of eternal youth in the unique atmosphere of Vuoristorata. A man whose feet are rooted in the train can cruise up to 180 cycles during a high season day!
Taavi started as a brakemaster in 1999 and in other position at Linnanmäki in 1997.
#3 Marko
Marko, or more familiarly Mauge, represents the more experienced end of the brakemaster work community. Marko, who originally started working at Linnanmäki in the games department, works as the shift manager of the hotel reception during the off-season. The father of three has a firm and confident grip on his work, not forgetting humor. In the work community Marko preserves the traditions of brakemasters and always welcomes new brakemasters in his own special way!
Marko started as a brakemaster in 2004 and in other position at Linnanmäki in 2000.
#4 Matias
This audio technician is a true amusement park expert and information bank. Matias knows Vuoristorata like the back of his hand and is also a guardian of Vuoristorata's history and a respecter of its traditions. For example, he has been involved in creating the content for our website. Along with braking, Matias enjoys music, movies, and cycling.
Matias started as a brakemaster in 2013 and in other position at Linnanmäki in 2010.
#5 Waltteri
The bundle of joy of the group, who brings a real fun twist to every workday! Enjoying the company of people, Waltteri is studying to become a teacher and always jumps straight from the school bench to the brake platform for the summer! This man carries a big responsibility for keeping things rolling behind the scenes as well.
Waltteri started as a brakemaster and in other position at Linnanmäki in 2013.
#6 Panu
Mechanical engineer Panu brings enthusiasm and energy to Vuoristorata, always handling his work with a calm and confident touch. He has a phenomenal ability to find sensible and functional solutions to any challenges that come his way.
Panu started as a brakemaster in 2017 and in other position at Linnanmäki in 2015.
#7 Ilpo
A calm and fun gentleman who considers both colleagues and customers in his work. Polite and encouraging, Ilpo’s smile doesn't fade during the day, and he brings joy to others' days with his positive attitude. Having studied mathematics at university and currently driving a tram, Ilpo projects a humble passion and motivation toward his work, which shows both on the train and in his duties as a steward. In addition to braking, Ilpo enjoys skateboarding.
Ilpo started as a brakemaster in 2019 and in other position at Linnanmäki in 2015.
#8 Anna
Anna is the second female brake master in the history of the Roller Coaster (Vuoristorata). Anna has at least as much will, determination, and power as the roller coaster’s cable lift engine. She has a phenomenal ability to read even the most difficult customer situations. Outside of Linnanmäki, this feisty defenseman of her hockey team is a student.
Anna started as a brakemaster in 2019 and in other position at Linnanmäki in 2018.
#9 Isak
Isak is a polite, motivated, and efficient gentleman who makes sure everything runs smoothly. He handles customer encounters naturally and ensures the order of the working environment. Isak serves as the chairman of our association and plays an important role in organizing events, producing media content, and other joint projects. Outside of Linnanmäki, he studies to become a Master of Science in Technology, works in the tech industry, and occasionally works as a DJ on the side.
Isak started as a brakemaster in 2020 and in other position at Linnanmäki in 2017.
#10 Samuel
Samuel handles the demanding role of a brakeman with confident strides. He is a calm and determined observer who easily keeps situations on the Roller Coaster under control, whether he is managing the platform or braking at the back of the train. In addition to his brakeman duties, he serves as our association's treasurer and works at a movie theater, which goes with his passion for films. In his free time, Samuel enjoys working out, listening to metal music, and hanging out with friends.
Samuel started as a brakemaster in 2022 and in other position at Linnanmäki in 2017.
#11 Joni
Joni is a fun and sunny personality who gets his energy from joking around and brightening his colleagues' days. Cheerful and charming, Joni treats every customer with a unique touch. With a ten-year background in basketball, Joni keeps the ball under control in his Vuoristorata duties as well, never letting his grip slip even during hectic moments. Outside Vuoristorata, Joni, who studied business administration, can be spotted working out.

#12 Taru
Taru is an energetic bundle of joy who keeps working with a smile on her face through long peak days. Excelling in her duties as a steward, Taru handles even challenging customer situations firmly and professionally. When driving, she is a brakemaster aiming for perfect cycles, possessing real safety hands. Bold and athletic, Taru is like a fish in water at Vuoristorata, and in her free time, she can be found in the company of animal friends, studying, or doing sports.

#13 Elias
Elias is a cheerful and social brakemaster who has developed his skills at the brake handle, aiming for consistently great cycles. Elias has quickly become a part of Vuoristorata’s tight-knit work community, and you can often find him brightening the atmosphere with his happy presence. In his duties as a steward, Elias is the definition of calmness, keeping a close eye on safety and order. This business administration graduate and fan of Finnish pop classics spends his winters playing ice hockey.
Elias started as a brakemaster in 2024 and in other position at Linnanmäki in 2019.
#14 Arnika
Calm and precise, Arnika tackles any task with a steady grip. In her work, she constantly strives to develop herself, which shows both as a steward and when braking the trains. Arnika treats every customer with dignity, aiming to create memorable moments for every visitor. In her free time, this animal-loving midwifery student can be spotted exercising with her dog or at gymnastics practice.
Arnika started as a brakemaster in 2024 and in other position at Linnanmäki in 2023.
#15 Amira
Sunny and approachable, Amira has an enthusiastic attitude toward Vuoristorata and her duties as a brakemaster. As a colleague, she is caring and fair. Amira draws her charisma from her long-term music hobby, while her encouraging presence has been shaped by cheerleading. In her free time, this fast-paced business student keeps up the speed by jogging with dogs and spending time with her friends.
Amira started as a brakemaster in 2025 and in other position at Linnanmäki in 2020.
#16 Iisak
A rock-solid professional who works with a calm and firm approach, whether it's loading trains on the platform or taking a round at the brake lever. At work, they are incredibly precise, ensuring that everything is handled perfectly down to the last detail. This martial arts enthusiast has a strong work ethic and stays completely calm even in difficult situations. In their free time, this soon-to-be math teacher enjoys reading, gaming, and watching movies and TV series.
Iisak started as a brakemaster in 2025 and in other position at Linnanmäki in 2023.
#17 Sippo
Sippo, the first student of the 2025 season, has enthusiastically and actively begun to get acquainted with the busy everyday life of Vuoristorata.
Sippo started as a brakemaster in 2026 and in other position at Linnanmäki in 2024.
#18 Milica
Milica, the second student of the 2026 season, is diligently learning the secrets of Vuoristorata's operations.
